We've been here several times and even taken friends as we feel it's the best Indian locally.we love the small but tastefully decorated place complete with traditionally dressed doorman who welcomes you on arrival.having seen other reviews I can honestly say we haven't experienced oily food.im a new convert to Indian food but have found staff happy to recommend mild dishes for me whereas my husband asked for hot and felt he got the perfect diced dish.they do a great two for one deal on Monday nights on mains and the drinks are reasonably priced.a nice takeaway too if y live nearby'
Mumbai Masala is the best Indian restaurant I've ever experienced. There are three Indian restaurants in Alfreton, and while the other two are ok, Mumbai Masala beats them hands down in my opinion. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere and decor is lovely, we never feel rushed, and the food is absolutely mouth watering! I should also mention that Mumbai Masala is an award winning restaurant - and it is highly deserved. The prices are also very reasonable! If you have never visited Mumbai Masala, I would highly recommend that you give it go.....I can guarantee you'll be back!
